Sander A. Kushner, DO, FACOFP Memorial Osteopathic Family Medicine Resident Award

The ACOFP Foundation invites osteopathic residents to apply for the Sander A. Kushner, DO, FACOFP Memorial Osteopathic Family Medicine Resident Award.

Dr. Sander A. Kushner had a passion for osteopathic family medicine and a commitment to teaching. His legacy and impact on osteopathic medicine is evident through the physicians whom he trained and the colleagues with whom he worked, but most importantly with the communities where he practiced.

The Sander A. Kushner, DO, FACOFP Memorial Osteopathic Family Medicine Resident Award is available to osteopathic residents who are enrolled in AOA-accredited family medicine residencies or ACGME-accredited family medicine residencies with osteopathic recognition. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and motivation for careers in osteopathic family medicine, and describe how they will continue Dr. Kushner’s legacy. 

Award Criteria

Applicants must submit a completed application, a personal statement of 500–650 words that describes their career goals in osteopathic family medicine and a curriculum vitae.

The 2024 call for applications is now open, closing January 15.
