Namey/Burnett Preventive Medicine Writing Award The Namey/Burnett Memorial Fund honors the memories of Joseph J. Namey, DO, FACOFP and John H. Burnett, DO, FACOFP, who were dedicated advocates for osteopathic family medicine. This fund sponsors the ACOFP Namey/Burnett Preventative Medicine Writing Award competition, which honors the best preventive medicine papers submitted by osteopathic family medicine residents and osteopathic medical students. Award submissions should follow the manuscript guidelines created for the Osteopathic Family Physician (OFP) Journal and all applicants must be current members of the ACOFP. Papers will be judged on: Prizes • 1st Place - $2,000 • 2nd Place - $1,000 • 3rd Place - $250 * Please note prizes are awarded on merit, and not all prizes may necessarily be awarded as part of the competition.
